Literature Text
The beckoning in your eyes,
Never slaked but always ate
At the back of my mind
Rotting, pleading for aid
Hemorrhaging stale remorse
In cataracts of anguish
Vexing to heal at the source
Draining, leaving you languished
For a chance, a single chance
To prove your adoration
Twisting backwards in a dance
Longing for vindication
A way through this bleak labyrinth
Of grotesque winding mirrors
Seeking a way to breech through
Miles of profound terror
Never feigned, nor ever faint
Your self sacrificial heart
Fervently beats untainted
You pick up the shattered shards
Stone by stone you dismember
These walls stretching to the sky,
Fueled by a single ember
You never cease to try
Try to reach through my tower
Spiraling, giving your all
To tare down these false bowers
& Silence my fall in your arms
Never slaked but always ate
At the back of my mind
Rotting, pleading for aid
Hemorrhaging stale remorse
In cataracts of anguish
Vexing to heal at the source
Draining, leaving you languished

there's a tapestry spilling from my fingers
and an ocean pooling at my toes
because of this odyssey in my throat
suddenly breaking through my lungs

Untitled Story
I lay in the river of tears I had cried over the battle, drifting downstream. I feel the current pulling, but it does not register. I feel the whole world I built around me - the ropes and cords and odd-things that tied me to the shore - slowly, but surely unravelling, letting go. All that is left after some time is the sword that cut them, its sheath and the belt succuring the sheath to me. But something went wrong as the last rope was cut - the sheath fell away and the sword pierced through my heart. The belt reminded me that I had something left of my old self, something to save me as the whole world came crashing down around

Don't know if it's done or not yet.
Inspired by the prompt "Sacrifice" & a friend whose always truly unconditionally been there for me. He took a lot of time & effort to figure me out, help me when I was down, & offer unbiased advice, even when I was with another. I admit, he's probably been through hell & back with me, yet never wavered(yet never was overbearing either). Once I finally got my head out of my ass I realized how much of a truly good of a person he was & fell for him.
